Meeting called to order by Troy Nethaway at 7:00pm.

No Visitors or New members.

Secretary's Meeting Minutes from May 2020 meeting were not voted on.

Treasurers report  $2663.79
Karl has club logo patches.  $5
Dues for 2020 are payable to Karl Hildabrand.   $20 for individual members, $30 for family membership.

New Business: 
Club is researching ways to accept payments on the web site for Dues, and Event Fees.

 Axel received a Swan neck Carbide tool by mistake and was told to donate it to the club.  We auctioned it off and Ray Fischer won the auction with a bid of $100.00.  Thanks Ray!!!

Show and Tell:  We had only a few items for the show and tell.

Rudy Lopez may do an Interactive Remote Demonstration for our club.  Date and time to be determined.

John Kelsey shared a video of his technique for turning a stemmed goblet. He also shared his scrapers.   Thanks John!!!

Ray shared video of a Spalted Maple Rough Turning by Toby Bouder.  Very Nice!  Thanks Toby and Ray!!!

Troy shared a Sled and Table topper to keep wet wood from rusting his saw table.

Ellis Emory shared the layout of his shop dust collection.  Very professional installation and a HUGE Dust Collector!

 

The dates below are subject to change due to the pandemic outbreak.

Also;  The Ned Smith Center is sponsoring a flea market at Myo Park in Millersburg, PA on July 25th, 2020 from 10:00am until 4:00pm  Contact John Laskowski ASAP if interested in doing a setup.  More information can be had here!

Byron Light has Anchorseal in gallon jugs.

AAW membership is encouraged for all members.  Membership gives you access to the entire library of AAW Journals going back to the beginning of AAW as well as insurance during club sponsored events.  To participate in Hands-ON events you must have a current AAW membership.

The Club Library is available to all members.  Items may be checked out at any time the store is open.  Please have one of the Woodcraft staff accompany you and please call ahead to ensure that nothing is going on in the classroom.

Mission Statement

Our goal is to spread the gospel of the art and craft of woodturning.  We do this through community events such as festivals and craft fairs; and through individual members selling their creations at craft fairs and juried art festivals.

Susquehanna Woodturners is a chapter of American Association of Woodturners.

Meeting Schedule

 

Currently Susquehanna Woodturners meets the second Tuesday of every month at the Harrisburg Woodcraft location, 3831 Union Deposit Rd (Union Square Mall), Harrisburg, PA 17111 and via ZOOM.  Members start to arrive for conversation and camaraderie at 6:00pm.  Meetings start at 7:00pm, and visitors are always welcome.
